Length: Contract term approximately 3 months with possibility extensions
Location: Edmonton, Alberta – Onsite

Description:
Supporting a busy collections unit within the department, this role will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support the legal collections team. Duties of the Administrative Assistant will include the following but are not limited to:
Proofing and formatting word documents, including collections reminder letters and demand letters.
Processing payments and posting deposits into CRM system.
Mail management including sorting, scanning, and making notes in the CRM system.
Prepare and send out letter correspondence by email and regular mail.
Data entry activities to record search results.
Answer phone calls and emails from debtors, direct calls to appropriate team members.
Basic database searches in Alberta Corporate Registry and/or Alberta Vital Statistics as required.
Perform records management of physical and digital documents in accordance with policies and practices.
Record transactions in CRM system.Qualifications:
Must Have:
– High School Diploma/GED.
– Experience proofing and formatting word documents in a work setting.
– Relevant experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role.Nice to Have:
– Relevant post-secondary education in the area of office administration. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (in years)
– Experience conducting Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks and/or Collection activities in a work environment.
– Experience with drafting legal documents / letters
– Experience with public sector retention and archiving records.
