The role:
- We are seeking to hire an Actuarial Analyst to join our UK&I team focussing on placing risk solutions within the motor market mainly and also with other UK products.
- In this role, you will apply your expertise in pricing techniques to support our Lead Actuary in delivering outstanding client service and contribute to the ambitious growth targets of the team.
- We are looking for someone who is happy to work on calculations and identify trends in order to support the business in delivering risk solutions.
How you’ll make an impactThe responsibilities:
- Risk analysis and modelling of clients’ portfolios including complex companies.
- Calculation, evaluation, trend of risk management strategies for motor lines.
- Building bespoke models and developing new modelling approaches for un-modelled perils, niche portfolios or black swan events.
- Valuation and pricing of reinsurance contracts, structured insurance solutions and capital market products.
About YouThe qualifications:
- Part-qualified as an actuary
- Ideally from a reinsurance background although we will consider all candidates from a non-life background
- Ideally from a UK&I and/or motor experience although not mandatory
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniques to a dynamic environment.
- Happy with hands-on actuarial calculations and trend spotting
