We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our client’s small but dynamic team. This is a hands-on role that functions more like an accounting administrator or senior bookkeeper. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions, including full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll processing, and assisting with month-end close. You’ll also play a supporting role in HR and office administration tasks.Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice entry, payment runs, and vendor communication
• Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial statements
• Maintain general ledger and reconcile key accounts
• Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with employment standards
• Manage employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with HST/GST and other government filings
• Support HR functions such as onboarding paperwork and benefits administration
• Maintain organized financial records and support audits as needed
• Collaborate with the Controller to improve processes and ensure financial accuracy

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting administrator role
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or Desktop is required
• Familiarity with payroll processing and related compliance
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable working independently in a small business environment
• Experience with HR tasks is a strong asset
