Job DescriptionJob ID#:4612Job Category:Accounting/FinanceOur growing client, located just outside of Albany, NY is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated temp-to-hire Accountant to join its dynamic finance team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for accurate financial reporting, this could be the perfect fit for you.Responsibilities of the Accountant will include:

• Maintaining complete and organized financial records, including ledgers and backup documentation.
• Contributing to monthly and annual closing procedures through journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Generating and managing reports to support month-end close.
• Assisting in the development of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Working cross-functionally with other departments to address discrepancies and provide information as needed.
• Supporting internal controls and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
• Assisting with audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Monitoring project and order data to track revenue and cost estimates.
• Investigating daily cash applications and supporting cash flow monitoring.
• Creating regular and ad hoc reports for leadership teams, including division and business controllers.
• Helping manage commissions, agent fees, and warranty tracking.
• Serving as a backup for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
• Supporting initiatives to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Accountant:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or be actively pursuing one).
• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with ERP systems is essential-SAP experience is a plus.
• A good understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
