OverviewThe Rotor wing General Aviation team within the Global Aerospace division are looking for an Account Executive to join a small team who handled a client base of over 1,000 helicopters operated by private and commercial rotor wing organisations in the UK & EEU. You will manage a portfolio of business, direct and via agent, responsible for all aspect of annual renewal negotiations, mid- term adjustments and any ad hoc services they require. Approximately 60% of all clients are direct and over 25% are based in EU/EEA countries.How you’ll make an impact

  • managing a portfolio of accounts from enquiry through the renewal process
  • effectively gathering information and instructions from helicopter owners and operators
  • pro-actively discussing renewal terms with customers
  • preparing and producing policy quotes and all necessary policy documentation using IBS platform
  • promptly responding to all client enquiries throughout the annual policy period
  • supporting senior directors on large, complex fleet policies, as necessary
  • working, as necessary, with third party producing brokers
  • attending client meetings and other event such as shows and events when required
  • managing your own monthly renewal list in a timely and efficient manner
  • complying with the departmental operational procedures and performance targets
  • assisting the on-going development of operational processes and team development
  • managing your own personal development
  • continuously seeking to expand your technical skills to support the business

About You

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent with a working knowledge of general insurance products, services, classes of insurance.
  • Excellent client service focus; the customer is always your top priority
  • Previous insurance experience in managing Binding Authority / Schemes (general commercial schemes or equivalent)
  • Good, clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • IT competent including ideally IBS, good Excel skills and e-file management skills
  • Able to manage a busy workload in an organised and structured manner
  • Continually building your industry knowledge and managing your own personal development
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable, but not essential skills:

  • Aviation insurance knowledge desirable, but not essential
  • An interest in aviation is preferable but not essential
  • Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute qualification
  • Previous experience of IBS risk processing platform
