The successful candidate will play a key role in the Academy Recruitment team supporting the current recruitment processes, working closely with the Head of Academy Recruitment to lead the scouting operations across the whole of the Academy. The aim of the Academy Recruitment Department is to find young, aspiring and talented football players.Main Accountabilities
To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.
Collaborate with all academy phases including Foundation, Youth, and Professional Development Phases to assess potential signings and evaluate current squad needs.
Assist the Head of Academy Recruitment in implementing recruitment procedures and aligning the academy recruitment strategy with the Club’s broader recruitment structure and processes.
Assist in scheduling and assigning of matches and tournaments for the scouting department to ensure a target driven approach.
Manage the academy recruitment reporting databases, ensuring that reports are completed in line with the Club structure and processes.
Create and maintain comprehensive databases and dashboards for key stakeholders, presenting both subjective and objective player data reports.
Assist in preparing presentations, dossiers and reports for senior management, summarising recruitment activities and player assessments.
Ensure all Academy trialists are registered on the required trial forms before the start of their trial.
Support the Head of Academy Recruitment with the EPPP Audits and assist with the collation of evidence.
Liaise regularly with Academy Recruitment Phase Leads to produce and maintain monthly target player lists, driven by scouting data and performance analytics.
Ensure data integrity by conducting regular checks and audits on the player recruitment database.
Undertake continuous professional development (CPD) training and/or additional training as identified or required.
Any other reasonable duties as required by your Line Manager.
