Job Title: 2nd Shift Welder/Caster – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $23–$25/hour depending on experience
Hours: Training: 7:00am–3:30pm (4–6 weeks on 1st shift) | 2nd Shift: 3:00pm–11:00pm | 40–45 hours per week | Overtime available
Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking a 2nd Shift Welder/Caster for a temp-to-hire position with a precision manufacturing company in Biddeford, Maine. This position offers a great opportunity for a candidate with TIG welding and casting experience to join a motivated, hands-on team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow within the company, with long-term career potential. Training will begin on 1st shift and transition to 2nd after 4–6 weeks. This is a temp-to-hire position with quick hire potential for the right fit.As a 2nd Shift Welder/Caster, you will be responsible for:Performing TIG welding and brazing operations on exotic metalsFabricating components using machine toolsOperating manual mills or lathes for machiningTroubleshooting welding and brazing issues during productionLearning and assisting with casting processesFollowing all safety procedures and understanding emergency response protocolsUnderstanding chemical reactions and properties used in the work areaHandling and processing hazardous waste in accordance with training and policy

The ideal candidate for this role will have:High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred)Minimum of 5 years of TIG welding experience with exotic metals (required)Minimum of 3 years of casting experience (required)Proficiency with power tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical tasksAbility to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles and shop mathExperience with machining (preferred)Strong attendance and punctuality, especially during the probationary periodFluent English for clear communication during training and daily tasksAbility to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for 10-hour shifts, bend, stoop, push, and pullBenefits:Health insurance optionsRetirement planPaid time offReady to take the next step?
