Responsible for assisting the Energy Coverage officers in analysis, research, pitch preparation and credit analysis.
· Partially responsible for assisting other portfolio within UK Coverage and the Head of UK Coverage and Investment Banking from time to time.Key Responsibilities
Assist the Energy Coverage team (part of Coverage and Investment Banking) in all aspects of client facing and internal work. This involves assisting with:
· clients and sectorial research
· financial analysis, credit analysis, valuation
· preparation of pitch books and client presentation
· assisting with client and bank marketing materials
· analysing revenues and return with specific clients
· preparation of files for Know Your Customer (KYC)
· supporting internal credit process
· organisation, attendance, and writing up meetings
· follow clients’ strategy around the energy transition
· expansion of the Energy portfolio
· liaison with other departments of the bank including the international network of CACIB, product specialists, risks, back office, middle office, compliance, legal.
· reportingAssist other portfolio within UK Coverage from time to time.Work with and assist the Head of UK Coverage and Investment Banking on strategic topics (Medium term strategy, profitability analysis, risk weighted assets optimization, budgeting, etc.)
· Provide an ad hoc support for strategic analysis, reporting to management and specific projects.Confidentiality – if applicable

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (with focus on Business, Economics, Banking, Finance)

Experience

  • Knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking
  • Knowledge of corporate lending, trade finance products
  • Accounting and corporate credit analysis

Required skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter and Team player

Technical skills required

  • Good Excel / PowerPoint and Microsoft skills
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written
