The Lakes Region jobshiringnearme.org Trust (LRCT) is a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit and accredited land trust dedicated to conserving healthy watersheds, thriving biodiversity and vibrant human communities across central New Hampshire. With nearly 30,000 acres conserved, a talented staff, and a growing community of supporters, LRCT has built a strong record of conservation success and is looking for operational support as we continue to grow.
The Office Coordinator is the operational backbone of LRCT’s day-to-day work, being the first point of contact for the public and the person who keeps the office running smoothly. This is a new, part-time position created as part of LRCT’s current strategic plan to build the staff capacity the organization needs to meet a growing land base and a more ambitious pace of work.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and general email inquiries, directing them to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain office systems, supplies, mail and vendor relationships to keep daily operations running smoothly
- Support scheduling and logistics for board meetings, committee meetings, and staff gatherings, including materials preparation and note-taking as needed
- Support customers and process merchandise sales at the office location
- Support mailings, event logistics, and other administrative tasks tied to fundraising, membership, and community programs
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as processing invoices or deposits, in coordination with the Director of Operations
- Provide general administrative support to the Executive Director and program staff as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:

- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a warm and professional manner in person, by phone, and by email
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace); experience with Square or similar software is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality
- A genuine interest in land conservation and LRCT’s mission
- Prior office, administrative, or nonprofit experience preferred but not required
Compensation and details
This is a part-time position based in Center Harbor, NH, with a flexible schedule starting at 18 hours per week. The position offers an opportunity to join a supportive, mission-driven team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution at a time of growth for the organization. Compensation is $20/hr.
