We are hiring for multiple Patient Transporter opportunities. This posting is for multiple openings of Patient Transporter at JACC – Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX.

Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to the Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Center (JACC) in Lubbock, TX.
Welcomes and assists patients, their families and visitors entering JACC, offering Valet Services. Transports patients by assisting patients in and out of cars, taxi, shuttle, and ambulances; moving them to and from areas within our cancer center and connecting hospital using wheelchairs and/or movable beds. Primarily works outdoors in all types of weather. Distributes supplies, drugs, and equipment received via a mail service carrier other sources to the correct area in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. Operates the patient transportation shuttle according to policy through transportation of patients to defined medically-related appointments using the patient shuttle. Will be required to make daily service checks prior to operation of the shuttle. Ensure equipment is clean and working properly. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with federal and state legal regulations and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) requirements and other regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications:
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
