Gas Fitter-3Cl L503 – Eastern Gas Ops

Overview

Under direct supervision, to assist in any routine or emergency work or duties required on the installation, operation and maintenance of plastic, steel and cast iron gas mains, district governors, services, regulators and meters and piping on customers premises as well as those duties of lower grades which may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in the installations of gas appliances on customers premise and operate tractor type trenching and backfilling equipment.
• Perform masonry and carpentry duties, perform road and lawn restorations, pick up and deliver spoil and backfill materials for both Gas and Underground Electric Departments.
• Assist in the installation of underground facilities of others.
• Assist in duties of higher classifications.
• Deliver Storeroom material required for both Gas and Underground Electric Departments to common job sites.

Qualifications

Required education/experience

• High School Diploma/GED

Relevant Work Experience

• Must be physically able to perform duties of this class. Required
• Be licensed to operate any of the Companys vehicles within 90 days of starting. Required
• This position is subject to drug and alcohol testing as required by the Department of Transportation. Required

• Driver’s License Required
