Monday through Friday, 8:00Am – 5:00PM

This Biologist will plan, organize and independently conduct complex experiments and assist in the interpretation and recommend changes to scientific protocols and procedures.

Compensation: $22.00 – 25.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Work independently following instructions or scientific protocols
  • Maintain infrastructure of laboratory and an organized, clean and safe working environment
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials and/or hazardous chemicals
  • Collaborate and present results during team or project meetings
  • Contribute to report writing and other publications.
  • Prepare SOPs/working procedures
  • Perform data analysis and propose design of next experiment
  • Contribute to troubleshooting activities
  • Work according to external and internal guidelines (e.g. SOPs, GxP, HSE, and AW)

Perform basic lab testing, including:

  • Mammalian cell culture and transfection, either suspension or adherent
  • Aseptic Techniques
  • Buffer and Media Prep
  • 96-well plate-based cellular assays
  • Cell banking
  • Basic bacterial growth, isolation, and transformation
  • RNA/DNA Extraction
  • Optimization Studies
  • Method and Assay Development

What You’ll Bring:

  • BS in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related science
  • 0-2+ years of related lab experience
  • Mammalian Cell Culture experience
  • RNA/DNA extraction experience, Preferred
  • Media and Buffer preparation experience, Preferred
