What You Will Do:
As a Project Manager for environmental projects, you will take a leading role in managing project responsibilities across scoping, execution, technical documentation, and mentorship of junior staff. In this position, you’ll be central to advancing environmental due diligence, site assessments, industrial and brownfield projects, private development work, and remediation efforts through a balanced mix of field activities and officebased deliverables.
- Lead and coordinate field operations, including health and safety plan development, assessment planning, and implementation for environmental media and hazardous building materials investigations, environmental drilling and grading contractor field observations, and monitoringwell installation.
- Review and interpret environmental field and chemical data and support the preparation of technical reports for client and regulatory submissions as applicable.
- Contribute to project planning and implementation to maintain quality standards and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Engage with clients and project stakeholders through clear, professional communication.
- Develop proposals, manage project timelines, scope changes, and monitor key milestones.
- Assess and manage project budgets and participate in business development efforts.
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an individual with strong technical experience and capabilities, sound professional judgment, and the ability to contribute effectively to both fieldwork and office-based project tasks.
Qualifications:
- education: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience, including progressive Project Management responsibilities
- Certifications/Professional Licensure-Registrations: Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred. Lead and/or asbestos accreditation/certification a plus.
- Key Competences:
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Excellent business development abilities and existing client relationships in the local market are preferred.
