We are seeking resumes for a Laboratory Technician at our Tomahawk, WI facility.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Testing of various products in the manufacturing process (pulp, water, paper, etc.) as scheduled per routine. Testing may also be done for quality control checks for trials.
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments. General lab housekeeping.
- Technical support and testing for operational on-line applications and instruments.
- Data entry and reporting of laboratory results.
- Compliance and participation in laboratory safety program.
- Maintain the main mill and satellite labs in proper operating condition.
- As testing requirements dictate the use of the outside labs, contract the services, send out necessary samples, and issue proper reports as to the results.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of Associates Degree in chemistry, paper science, or related field is preferred or related experience in area.
- Must be able to work some overtime.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A working knowledge of analytical procedures in the areas of chemistry, physics, and biology.
- Computer skills with knowledge of excel, graphing, and technical writing.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and laboratory procedures is a must.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-directed and requires minimal supervision.
- Mechanical ability to perform operator cleaning and laboratory equipment repair.
- Must record laboratory data accurately and legibly.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Starting salary range for position: $55,000 – $65,000
- Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

- Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages — medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
- Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
