What you will accomplish

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for linear construction activities.

Project work may include Federal land management, oil and gas development, transportation, water resources, renewable energy, transmission/pipelines, mining, habitat restoration, wildfire monitoring, and watershed studies.

Supervise installation and maintenance of BMPs, erosion control devices (ECDs), and environmental exclusion areas during construction.

Use topographic maps, GPS units, aerial photographs, and other maps and tools in the field.
- Take responsibility for team safety, develop safety plans (when applicable), and anticipate potential safety hazards
Experience and qualifications for success

At least 1 year of experience in environmental consulting inspection of linear construction projects required.

Able to inspect right-of-way and associated facilities.

Familiar with soil erosion control and BMP installation and maintenance.

Familiar with agricultural mitigation plans/drain tile repair.
- Able to work in remote areas, use ATVs or other four-wheel drive type vehicles.
- Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.

This Staff II level employee in this U.S.-based position can expect an hourly pay range of $24.00 – $43.20 per hour. Actual pay within this range will be determined based on factors permitted by law, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business and client needs. Certain client project contracts may offer a premium pay rate above the base hourly rate when applicable.
