We’re seeking individuals with experience working with children in an outdoor setting, who are dedicated to connecting children with nature. When hiring we look for creative, fun and high-energy individuals to become Summer Camp Instructors. Summer Camp Instructors work in pairs with primarily children ages 4-6.

Honey Hollow’s summer camp runs for 9-10 weeks throughout June-August. There is a two-week break around the 4th of July holiday. Each week is a different environmental theme. Counselors will receive training about each week and how Honey Hollow Nature Center runs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Be an educator for a camp group each week (ages 4-6)

  • Groups will have up to 12 children per week
  • This is a part-time job opening

Co-lead the full-day camp group (ages 6-12) as needed

Assist with general management of the camp program

  • Check- in/out of campers
  • Supervising lunch and free time
  • Oversee interns and volunteers

Maintain the Facilities for camp

  • General cleaning
  • Organizing spaces
  • Habitat maintenance as needed
