The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), within the Fire and Resource Assessment Program (FRAP) is looking to fill a Forest Inventory & Analysis (FIA) Program Landowner Contact Aide. This position serves under the direction of the of Forest Health Research & Monitoring Program Manager (Senior Environmental Scientist – Supervisory), and works closely with the Forest Inventory & Monitoring Specialist (Senior Environmental Scientist).  The incumbent serves as a project aide in support of CAL FIRE’s FIA program. This position’s primary responsibility is contacting landowners and land managers by phone, email, and/or site visits to request permission for field crews to access long-term forest monitoring plots throughout the state and across all ownership classifications.  The incumbent may also be tasked to assist with FIA program data collection, and occasional site visits.

Duty Location: Redding, CA or Sacramento, CA

Job Type: Non-Tenured, Full Time, Seasonal

Monthly Gross Pay: $3,744.00 – $4,630.00
