The Opportunity:Please note this is a 2-year maternity leave cover.
We’re looking for an HR Specialist who thrives on managing the full recruitment process and building strong relationships. In this role, you’ll partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs, create job postings, source candidates, and coordinate interviews. You’ll oversee everything from job offers and background checks to seamless onboarding for new hires. You’ll also support campus and co-op recruitment, working with schools to attract top talent and helping managers navigate the process. In addition, you’ll manage mandatory training, assist with audits, and contribute to improving Talent Acquisition strategies and processes. About The Role:Manage end to end fulfillment process with hiring managers for roles up to Grade 16. Partner with hiring managers to develop workforce planning, needs assessment and recruitment strategy
Manage the full pre-employment process, including job offers, background checks, and onboarding coordination.
Create job postings, screen applicants, develop interview questions, and schedule interviews.
Identify and source potential candidates through online platforms and our Applicant Tracking System.
Support hiring managers with co-op and campus recruitment, including identifying roles, posting opportunities, and onboarding candidates.
Build and maintain relationships with schools to attract top talent and post roles within deadlines.
Assist managers with challenges during the co-op’s tenure and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
Oversee mandatory and risk training for new hires and ensure timely completion of training requirements.
Support audit processes by managing background screening documentation and addressing discrepancies.
Contribute to Talent Acquisition projects, process improvements, and workforce planning strategies.
Track and report talent acquisition metrics and manage recruitment-related inquiries.What You Need to Succeed:Education:College or University degree in Human Resources ManagementExperience:3 – 5 years of experience in Human Resources
2 – 3 years of Recruiting experienceSkill requirementsExcellent computer skills including experience with MS Office
Experience working with Applicant tracking system.
Experience with full cycle recruitment processAbility to operate with a sense of urgency and develop a proactive approach to recruiting
Must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate accurate attention to detail
Displays good communication skills, both verbal and written
