Job Description:Country Life, the quintessential magazine for those passionate about rural living, culture, and heritage, is looking for a dynamic and creative Lifestyle Editor to join our London-based team. This important role will curate and create inspiring content across a range of lifestyle topics, including interiors, travel, food, gardens, and culture. The Lifestyle Editor will be an important contributor to the magazine’s print and digital platforms, ensuring the content remains relevant, engaging, and aligned with the brand’s heritage and audience interests.What you’ll be doingReporting to the Editor-in-chief, you will be responsible for the following areas;Content Creation and Curation

  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality lifestyle content for both print and digital channels.
  • Edit and curate the Frontispiece page.
  • Edit the monthly London Life section.
  • Curate and commission engaging features that reflect the magazine’s brand values and appeal to its audience.
  • Work with contributors, photographers, and stylists to deliver visually compelling and informative content.

Trend and Audience Insights

  • Stay ahead of lifestyle trends and ensure coverage aligns with the interests and aspirations of Country Life’s readership.
  • Utilise audience analytics to shape content that creates engagement and resonates with readers.

Digital Integration

  • Collaborate with the digital team to adapt print content for online platforms.
  • Produce ideas for social media and online exclusives to expand the magazine’s reach and visibility.

Collaboration Across Departments

  • Work with the commercial team on content partnerships and sponsored features.
  • Coordinate with the photography and design teams to ensure features are visually striking and aligned with brand aesthetics.

Event Representation

  • Represent Country Life at lifestyle and industry events, building relationships with key stakeholders and contributors.
