SummaryReporting to the HR Manager, the Human Resources and Benefits Administrator provides administrative support to the Canadian Human Resources function including benefit administration, employee support, data entry, reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, presentations and general office duties. While the focus of this role is administrative in nature, you will assist with a variety of projects, programs, and communication initiatives.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative team environment. This position will be located at our 4700 47 Street SE Calgary, AB location.ResponsibilitiesBenefits Administrator (40%)
- Administer and manage all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, life insurance, and retirement plans
- Coordinate open enrollment, new hires, and life event processing
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations related to benefits administration
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits
- Complete and process documentation for benefits administration, including pension plans, leaves, and insurance
General HR Administration (60%)
- Manage the shared HR email inbox and phone line, organizing and distributing incoming and outgoing tasks based on priority and urgency
- Prepare correspondence for employees
- Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs including service awards and other projects as assigned
- Manage documents on company intranet through SharePoint
- Assist with the administration of HR programs including performance reviews, education reimbursement programs, Respectful Workplace and Code of Conduct annual renewals
- Generate reports, metrics, and process employee changes within the HRIS system (SAP / SuccessFactors), as required
- Coordinate and update HR communication materials, including newsletters, slideshows, forms, FAQs, and tip sheets.
- HR and payroll e-filing
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 Years of HR administrative experience; must include experience with benefits administration
- Diploma/Certification in Human Resources or Business Administration is considered an asset
- SAP and/or SuccessFactors experience considered an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; adapts well to change
- Detail oriented – this is a very transaction-based role requiring a high degree of accuracy
