1. Describes the technical vision and content of PO portfolios to external audiences and support scientific proposal reviews, providing input on the technical strengths and weaknesses of research and development proposals.
2. Advises POs in support of research opportunities, assessments and recommends new efforts, assists with budget development, and provides guidance on carrying out associated technical and program management responsibilities to include technical analysis, program strategies and support for off-base initiatives.
3. Conducts timely technical analysis to define, assess, and monitor new and emerging research opportunities, and potential thrust ideas for AFOSR.
4. Aides in determining optimal program strategies, including metrics, goals, and objectives of innovative results.

QualificationsTo meet basic requirements for this position one of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Individual Occupational Requirements (IORs) must be met:Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Group Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, .To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DR-01 (GS-11) broadband.
