Many more benefitsAs a Safety Technician Apprentice, you’ll gain a vast range of valuable experiences and skills. You’ll work towards the Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) technician standard and earn the prestigious TechIOSH accreditation. Based in one of our UK operations warehouses, you’ll be at the heart of our fast-paced operations, where millions of items are stored, processed, and shipped to customers worldwide.Over a 27-month period, starting September 2025, you’ll embark on a comprehensive learning journey. Working alongside our core safety team, you’ll support day-to-day tasks, learning how Amazon Safety operates and delivers for our customers. As your skills, knowledge, and behaviors grow, you’ll become an integral part of the team, delivering the highest quality of service to our internal and external customers, ensuring everyone consistently operates safely.To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion for creating a safer, healthier workplace, good problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to work both independently and as part of a team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing SHE policies and procedures
  • Conducting workplace inspections and risk assessments
  • Delivering SHE training
  • Investigating incidents and near-misses
  • Analyzing SHE performance data and preparing reports
  • Supporting the maintenance of SHE management systems
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders

A day in the lifeBASIC QUALIFICATIONSThe right person for the apprenticeship program:

  • You are a UK national, or a non UK national with the right to work in the UK, or an EU national and have settled status in the UK, and have lived in the UK or an EEA, or British overseas territory for 3 years or more prior to commencing the apprenticeship (September 2025)
  • You will be resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
  • You are not registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2025 or later
  • You will be 18 years old or older before entering an Amazon building (September 2025)
  • You have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent): Including Maths and English
