OVERVIEWAs an Operations Lead within one of the client’s engineering teams, you will guide the successful delivery of key projects within our engineering pipeline. You will primarily be focused on coordinating, planning, scheduling, forecasting, and providing oversight to several projects owned by a variety of technical streams.
- Duration: 12 months
- Rate: $55/hr – $63/hr CAD, DOE
- 100% Remote position, however, the candidate must be located in Canada
- Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship (not eligible for C2C)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage several projects simultaneously in various capacities
- Work directly with the technical leaders owning the various projects to ensure a deep understanding of the goals and objectives.
- Establish clear metrics for success for each project you will be supporting.
- Build and maintain project related documentation (including dashboards, project trackers, meeting notes, blog posts, etc); ensuring projects are tracked and reported on throughout the project lifecycle.
- Be the primary liaison between Engineering Operations & the various project teams.
- Act as a leader in this space, drive deliverables by holding teams accountable.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Help remove roadblocks impacting the project teams
- Play a vital role in delivering the high-visibility projects in a dynamic and high paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of managing complex projects within engineering.
- Expertise in project management, business analysis, software delivery lifecycle, and SaaS
- Proficient in Google Suites; building foundational PM tooling from scratch
- Proficient in Atlassian Confluence.
- Solid track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communicator.
- Demonstrated leader, who is self-motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, and organized.
- Experience in risk identification, assessment of unintended effects of project changes, and risk avoidance or mitigation.
- Demonstrated resilience, tact, influence, and problem-solving skills in a variety of complex situations.
- Relevant combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Project Management professional certification or another relevant accreditation strongly preferred.
