Publisher – Social Science JournalsAre you an experienced publisher?Do you enjoy building and maintaining high level relationships?About our TeamAt STM Journals, we collaborate with researchers to facilitate the publication of their impactful scientific discoveries, with a focus on rigorous peer review, ethics, and reproducibility. In support of our portfolio of 2700+ hybrid and open access scientific journals, you will actively contribute to advancing science, improving health outcomes, and fostering equitable participation in publishing.About the RoleThe Social Sciences team seeks a Publisher to oversee a group of social science journals. The Publisher will ensure our journals grow with the research community, expanding networks, partnerships, and output, especially from underrepresented regions. Success in this role requires maintaining an excellent network with Elsevier editors, authors, and societies.Local and international travel is part of the role, and yow will attend relevant international conferences and visit academic institutes to meet with and expand your network.Responsibilities

• Staying up to date with market developments, to identify and map market needs and business opportunities.
• Combining market knowledge and data analysis, develop a portfolio strategy that will deliver on targets
• Managing content growth organically and by (title) acquisition
• Managing innovation of content formats and content extensions and channels.
• Working closely with team members and other publishing colleagues to help deliver on collaborative projects and goals.

Requirements

• Have a Degree/PhD; in a Social Sciences discipline is desirable, but not essential.
• Have relevant publishing experience or experience in a related role
• Have excellent networking and communication skills, in English.
• Have the ability to adapt to change, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
