The role

As a Medical Administrative Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Supporting the medical team at RAF Henlow.

Day-to-day, you’ll manage new patient referrals through the electronic Medical Information System (DMiCP) and allocate to an appropriate clinician as appropriate, as well as

  • Liaise with patients and Defence Primary Healthcare Medical Centres to arrange medical appointments at the RAF Medical Boards.
  • Deal with any queries that arise, passing to the clinical team as appropriate. And respond to telephone calls appropriately.
  • Ensure all patients and visitors to the RAF Medical Board and AMCS are received in an appropriate manner, including the issue of identity passes and delivery of a building-specific Health and Safety brief.
  • Perform administrative tasks as necessary, including photocopying, faxing, scanning, data processing and database management, in support of the operational functions of the RAF Medical Boards.

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Henlow.

Essential experience of the Medical Administrative Assistant:

  • Experience of GDPR in their role
  • Previous Administration background (Medical background advantageous)

Qualifications for the Medical Administrative Assistant:

  • Qualifications in Maths and English

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
