To ensure that programs, activities, and events operate effectively and smoothly, the incumbent will proactively manage administrative, logistical and coordination duties, and act as the primary contact for the team.Open toThe general public to staff one (1) determinate full-time position for a period of 12 months in the Human Resources Directorate.This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.The Senate of Canada is committed to building a skilled and diverse workforce that reflects the Canadians we serve, starting with an inclusive and barrier-free hiring process.   • Completed University or College degree in Human Resources Management, Adult Education, Learning, Event Planning, or related field, OR an acceptable combination of education, and relevant experience;
  • Experience in learning and development, training, and corporate events, an asset;
  • Previous experience working within with a parliamentary hill organization, an asset;
  • Proactive work style with strong interpersonal skills and a client service orientation;
  • Excellent administrative, planning, organization, and forward-thinking abilities;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for database management, report generation, and communication;
  • Experience working with clients and coordinating programs and/or events;
  • Team player with effective oral and written communication skills in both official languages.
