Job description

Manage subcontractor performance in accordance with obligations established in the Subcontract.
 Review, interpret, and analyze subcontractors’ critical path schedules and evaluate issues early and
recommend mitigation measures.
 Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, internal stakeholders, and client representatives
where applicable.
 Monitor and control subcontractor incurred costs.
 Maintain organized electronic files.
 Attest and process all subcontractor invoices.
 Manage Subcontractor change orders.
 Issue correspondence and notices to subcontractors as required.
 Coordinate client approvals as may be required.
 Coordinate subcontractor claims/disputes to resolution.
 Maintain all records related to subcontract administration.
 Progressively close-out all subcontracts following work completion.
 Ensure subcontractor adherence to B&M’s Health & Safety policies and Code of Conduct.COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 University degree will be an asset.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 3+ years contracts administration experience, preferably in a construction environment.
 Knowledge of North America Markets, Suppliers and Regulations. Global market knowledge will be an assetSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
 Fluent in French and English
 Familiarity with contract terms and conditions
 Understanding of the contract between trade contractors and the general contractor
 Experience with the 2021-2025 construction industry collective agreement. Including but not limited to hourly
rates, travel, pension, attendance, bonus
 Understanding of the contract between the General Contractor and the customer
 Ability to manage cost reimbursable fixed fee subcontract, ensuring that subcontractors work within the target
price
 Ability to present, analyze additional work, and update the target price of the contract as required
 Ability to mentor trade contractors on how to prepare their data to ensure transparency of trade contractors’
expenses
 Ability to audit the expenses of specialized contractors at the requisition stage, the commitment stage of material
purchases, the hiring of subcontractors, the rental of construction equipment, and the hiring of direct and indirect
personnel. Compare these commitments against the base subcontract and report any changes
 Ability to work on the PROCORE platform
 Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats
 High degree of competency in the use of all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a
minimum)
 Demonstrated commitment to meeting and/or exceeding project expectations
 Highly motivated, efficient and focused
 Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
 Comfortable with repetitive and high attention to detail tasks
 Result orientated and confident
 Knowledgeable in Supply Chain Management processes utilized in construction environments
 Excellent time management and organizational skills
 Matured negotiation skills
 Ability to work productively in a team environment as well as independently with nominal supervision
 Excellent interpersonal skills
