C++ Software Engineer – Options Trading – Front Office – London – A leading proprietary trading company is seeking to hire a C++ Software Engineer with experience in options trading to design, develop and support an order matching and market-making trading platform.The C++ Software Engineer will join a medium sized local (London based) engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to development strategy, and further develop a high-performance options trading platform used by the proprietary trading business.Responsibilities:
- Contribute to design and development of the options trading platform.
- Work as part of the internal engineering team of further enhancements of the businesses internally developed market-making platform.
- Work collaboratively with testing and engineering teams internally.
- Assist with further advancements in platform automation.
- Take ownership of business and technical change requests.
The C++ Software Engineer should have:
- A STEM background.
- Significant experience in C++ development in a commercial setting.
- STL – Unix/Linux environment experience.
- Will have developed solutions that have within their career focused on Options Trading
- Does any of the following sound familiarBid-Ask Spread / Call Options / Put Options / Volume and Open Interest / delta hedging / Asymmetry / Liquidity Provision.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Ability to suggest and research new technologies, and quickly adapt to change.
