We are excellent listeners and offer a wide range of solutions, perfectly tailored to your specific requirements.About the role – Objectives (commercial focused)Protect EBIT pre/during construction.Ensure project managers are supported with pre-construction tendering, contract award, and construction contract administration.Defend project contractual claims.Objectives (investor focused)Protect EBIT post-construction.Ensure investors feel that their needs are being met Minimise investor-related distractions for project teams.What you will do – Commercial managementLead the compilation of all major tender packs with support from Project Management team, approving all tender packs before issue.Review tender returns and work in conjunction with Legal support and project management to negotiate a final contract positionReview, input, and approve final recommendation paper on major procurement contracts Supervise contract execution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.Support project and construction managers by taking the lead in contractual claim assessment and negotiation. Support project and construction managers (PM & CM) with contract administration.Implement lessons learned process for continuous contractual improvements Maintain, update, and improve contractual records.Investor managementBe the main point of contact for investors from sale close until all sale obligations have been met (likely 6-12 months after final acceptance), update them on progress, respond to their questions/ requests, anticipate and manage the response to their concerns.From sale close to provisional acceptance – ensure the project plan includes all deliverables committed to in sales agreements highlight the impact of project risks/ issues on sales agreements to the project manager own transaction-related tasks agreed with the project manager e.g. GCA invoicing.From provisional acceptance until all sale obligations have been met – project manage, including planning, monitoring, reporting, and risk/ issue resolution own defects review, dispute/ agreement and allocation process.Own any transaction-related tasks agreed with project team e.g. coordination of formal PR tests.What you’ll need to succeedCommercially astute with experience dealing with investor and contractor negotiations Experience administering construction contracts such as FIDIC/NEC.Strong track record of preparing a case and defending contractual claims Self-organised, and able to organise others.Intermediate understanding of renewable energy project construction and/ or operation Strong presentation skills.Strong research skills and an in-depth understanding of financial analytics and legal agreements Attention to detail, thoroughness and mathematical abilities.Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management or similar qualificationWhat’s in it for you?Being part of a highly motivated ever-growing and multicultural team that drives forward the energy revolution.Innovative and fast-changing market and working environment.Hybrid Working.Private Health Insurance.Life Assurance Cover.Company Pension Scheme.Flexible Working Environment.Yearly Discretionary Performance Bonus Scheme.Mental Health First Aid support.Employee Assistance Programme which provides all employees with 24/7 access to telephone and online counselling.Access to an online benefits portal which includes travel and shopping discounts, healthy living advice & a financial well-being resource bank.About BayWa r.e.BayWa r.e. is the home for change makers.
