- Administers the physical, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security programs as applied to assigned activities/systems.
- Identifies and validates mission security needs through evaluation or development of security elements of applicable program.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the security activities of assigned programs at contractor and government locations ensuring that all elements of protection comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various Center organizations as well as government customers and contracted organizations.

- This is not a telework position. This position requires 5 days a week on-site support and may include after hours and weekend support on a case-by-case basis.
- Relocation costs or other incentives may be available and considered by the organization.
- If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement. More information on PCS requirements, may be found at: https://afciviliancareers.com/regulatory/
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This position may require drug testing and the candidate may be subject to passing a drug test upon selection
- Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position
- This position is designated as a national security position.
- Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- This position meets the administrative exemption criteria for the Fair Labor Standards Act (5 CFR 551.206).
- Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period
- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. A favorable suitability determination is required before appointment.

QualificationsExperience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of physical, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Knowledge of security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
3. Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the installation and supported organizations.
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.EducationThis job does not have an education qualification requirement.
