It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.About the roleAs ourAssociate Director, Clinical Performance you will provide effectivemanagement and reporting of the multiple elements of the CH Clinical Development Portfolio of activities

  • Category and BU clinical studies monthly dashboards
  • Category and BU clinical program monthly budget planning and management
  • Generation of quarterly clinical development metrics and cycle times
  • Resource forecasting and tracking across the Clinical Development functions

This role, wired for excellence (powered by data, digital, analytics and operational excellence) will collaborate for impact, with a range of stakeholders within the Clinical Development organisation, Finance, Categories and BU R&D leads in order to generate and communicate on portfolio visualization tools and platforms to allow CD to Unlock Value at Pace.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical activity planning process, establish, and manage category/BU clinical portfolio plan including internal and external dependencies
  • Programme reporting to include updates as required to senior stake holders in Clinical Development, to Category Leads, and Finance partners.
  • Establish relevant metrics and associated business rules and manage effective project tracking and reporting process suitable for reporting at various management levels

(Cycle Times / Metrics / Finance) at various stakeholder levels. * Update CD stakeholders about program status and resource needs:

  • Functional input and data updates to allow review of CD resource demands,
  • Review of data by functional leads
  • Data presentation / breakdown by various requests / presentation
  • Manage category and BU Clinical Portfolio Finances with finance partners and category leads:
  • Clinical Finance Tracker pipeline study set up, updates on allocation, and tracking with regular report generation
  • Category & Financial monthly Clinical Spend updates
  • Maintenance of financials data into Precision
  • Generating and update Standardised study Rate Cards
  • Regular summary reports for Clinical Spend
  • Provide training and guidance on the clinical financial tracking system and process
  • Providing portfolio governance with strict adherence to financial processes maintaining baseline data and changes to time, cost, scope and quality
  • Consistently exploring ways to continuously improve the operational delivery of the portfolio working with multi discipline environment

Qualifications and skills

  • Significant experience (6 years +) in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry, preferably with a track record of success in Clinical Development / Operations or Relationship management roles
  • 4+ years previous work experience in global and/or cross-functional new product development teams, or Project Management experience preferred.
  • Track record of success in continuous improvement, innovative work practices and driving changes to achieve these.
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively in a complex matrix organization with senior internal stakeholder interfaces.
  • Established project management skills and aptitude, both hard and soft skills that includes multifunctional projects in a complex matrix
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders in different functions and regions.
  • Aptitude or experience to teach and coach project management, continuous improvement and change management in various aspects of clinical performance and the systems.
  • Project experience should include the design, planning, governance, phasing, and implementation of a projects as well as tools and techniques for issues and risk management, decision making and reporting
  • Well-developed soft skills are essential for success
  • Excellence in influencing skills, which are applied effectively at all levels of the organisation and across functional boundaries, especially towards the senior management level
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork
  • Tech and data science and data visualisation acumen
  • Educated with a degree in either Clinical Research, Consumer Healthcare, Portfolio, Financial and Resource Management or Business Informatics.
  • Whilst a Higher degree is preferred, it is not essential.
