Job description
We are recruiting for a Full Time, Permanent Van Driver for our valued client based in Guildford. They are a Nationwide Plant and Equipment Hire Company.Sometimes you will tow a small trailer. Ideally you will already have some experience with towing but it is not essential as the client can give you some training.The successful candidate will be driving, learning to maintain machines and equipment and be taught the tool hire trade counter.This is a great job with lots of variety.**** Benefits, Hours and Pay for the Van Driver ****
- £11.50 per hour
- 28 days paid holiday
- Monday to Friday and alternate Sat mornings
- Standard 45 hours per week
- 7:30am to 4:30pm
**** Responsibilities of the Cat B Van Driver ****
- Perform daily vehicle inspection checks
- Interact with the staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take responsibility for your own assigned vehicle
- Load and unload equipment
- Deliver mini diggers, tools and small scaffold towers
- Sometimes you will tow a small trailer
- Deliveries around the South East, down to the coast and into the edge of London
- Assist in the yard, test machinery, work on the trade counter and book jobs
**** Requirements of the Cat B Van Driver ****
- Cat B licence at a minimum.
- Verifiable references
- Max 3 minor penalty points
