Join us in building a workplace that celebrates diversity and individuality..Join Qonto as a Risk & Compliance Engineer to enhance our data-driven approach to regulatory compliance and risk management.Working closely with , our Risk & Compliance Engineering Lead, you’ll develop crucial applications and data extracts that will directly impact our ability to meet regulatory requirements and improve our risk management processes.👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Risk & Compliance Engineer at Qonto, you will:

• Develop and maintain high-quality SQL queries and data extracts for financial institutions and regulators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Create and deploy Python applications on GitLab to improve productivity for various risk and compliance teams

• Collaborate on diverse projects across financial crime prevention, internal control, and regulatory reporting

• Implement data engineering best practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our risk and compliance processes

• Contribute to both daily operations and long-term improvement projects, balancing immediate needs with strategic goals

• His path? Jérémy Meliani has built an impressive career in data science and analytics. He is currently the Lead R&C Engineering at Qonto, where he focuses on developing machine learning models to detect banking fraud and terrorism financing. Before joining Qonto, Jérémy worked as a Lead Data Analyst at Sodexo and TSI Payment, creating data solutions for various services such as fraud detection and marketing.

• What he can bring to the team? Jérémy brings extensive experience in machine learning and data analytics. He has improved the efficiency of Financial Crime agents and ensured compliance with regulatory reports. Jérémy is skilled in conducting analyses for internal control and managing technical environments. He is committed to setting clear objectives and tracking performance, helping the team continuously improve and achieve excellence.

• Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience in a data-related role, preferably in fintech or financial services

• Technical Skills: You’re proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in version control systems like Git

• Adaptability: You thrive in a dynamic environment and can quickly learn about new areas of risk and compliance

• Communication: You excel at explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Problem-Solving: You have a track record of improving data processes and implementing engineering best practices
