You’d be responsible for overseeing the training and professional development programs within the organisation, by enhancing employees’ skills, knowledge, and performance to meet the company’s strategic objectives.Job Description for this Learning and Development Manager Role
- Design and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates, managing the entire hiring process from outreach to onboarding.
- Oversee internal recruitment efforts by identifying the best sources for talent, assessing staffing needs, and planning hiring timelines.
- Create structured career development pathways and promotion plans to support employee advancement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set objectives, and provide necessary resources for employees’ growth and improvement.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment aligned with the company’s mission and values.
- Partner with management to assess training needs and develop programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and career development.
- Develop customized interview assessments to ensure candidates are well-suited for their roles.
- Draft and update job descriptions and advertisements to effectively communicate role requirements and company expectations.
- Assess and improve workplace culture, recognition programs, and reward systems to boost morale and retention.
- Manage training budgets, coordinate with external providers, and ensure accurate submission of timesheets and expenses in line with company policies.
Skills Necessary for this Learning and Development Manager Role
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strategic thinking, and great problem solving skills..
