Join a culture of collaboration and innovation that matters and a chance to learn, effect change, and make meaningful contributions at work and in communities. ​Solaris Biotechnology, a Donaldson brand under Life Science that Designs and Manufactures Bioprocessing equipment, including Bioreactors, Fermenters, and Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems for R&D and production purposes.We engage in providing high-tech bioprocess solutions, our products are used in Universities, Research Centers, as well as in Biotech, Pharma, Food and Beverage, Nutraceutical, Cosmeceutical, Chemical, Agricultural industries, and, not to mention bioplastics and biofuels applications.As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing application support and expertise to our customers in the Bioprocessing & Pharmaceutical industry. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, proactive problem solver to work with a diverse global team building innovative new solutions and providing support to our sales teams and customers.This position will primarily support customers East of the Mississippi River and is to be based in Massachusetts.Role Responsibilities:Support the sales team in converting prospect clients by acting as first point of contact for technical questions and advise.Collaborate closely with the sales team to build quotations of industrial systems out of user requirements.Provide product and software demonstrations to our customers and train the end-user on lab and industrial scale equipment.Support our customers in troubleshooting in the field based on your product and application expertise.Collaborate closely with the engineering teams to identify opportunities for product and service enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.1-2 years of experience in technical support, application engineering, or field service, preferably in the bioprocessing/biotechnology industry and/or the Food & Beverage industry.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build rapport with customers.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs and resolving technical issues.Ability to travel to customer sites as needed for field service and support activities (up to 50% of time annually).Preferred Qualifications:Strong technical expertise in laboratory, pilot, and industrial equipment (bioreactors and fermenters), along with proficiency in relevant software applications.Solid knowledge of applicable regulatory and quality Standards (CE/ UL/ GMP, FDA, …)Advanced degree in engineering, biotechnology, or a related field.Knowledge of Process analytical technologiesFamiliar with PLC and HMI designsGood project management skillsKey words: field service, applications, bioprocessing, biotechnology, bioreactors, fermenters, technical troubleshooting#LI-HybridEmployment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
