An opportunity to join a fast paced, dedicated team who deal with the day-to-day reconciliations of the Society’s financial transactions. The successful candidate will be an experienced and high performing reconciler who will play a key role in interfacing between the Financial Reconciliations team and change programs. They will be expected to learn the end-to-end processes of impacted reconciliations and work closely with multiple projects to optimise the solutions from a reconciliations perspective by being key to testing, business readiness, liaising with stakeholders and keeping change governance updated.This role is in Finance within the Financial Reconciliations team, which is responsible for maintaining the integrity of Nationwide’s balance sheet. We ensure that our customer’s transactions flow through to the correct destination.At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. You can also find out more about our approach to .If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.What you’ll be doingYou’ll work closely with projects impacting the team to ensure accounting, processes and systems are thoroughly tested and delivered seamlessly into the team.You’ll be encouraged to suggest process improvements and engage with stakeholders to implement change and ensure processes are adequately documented, challenged, and developed under effective controls, and support the implementation and integrity of any change programmes that impact reconciliations.About youWe expect you to have skills in the following:
- Experience of working within Finance with an understanding of financial accounting and reconciliations.
- User knowledge of systems such as AUTOREK, BankRec, TCS, Payments Platform and PeopleSoft.
- Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge and skills with an emphasis on Excel.
- Organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple workloads to meet deadlines.
- The ability to confidently communicate with projects and reconciliations, internal stakeholders.
