Job Description:Visa & Sponsorship PartnerSupporting not only Head Office, but the whole Next Group, this role has been created to oversee Next’s continued increased growth of Visa Sponsorship for both new and existing employees.This will be an exciting opportunity to continue to evolve our processes and to own all activity
relating to the allocation and extension of Visas for our new hires and existing employees.About the TeamReporting into the Recruitment Manager, this role will sit within the Head Office HR Services Team. It will be a business and candidate facing role which will allow you to gain exposure to how the business recruits, supports and retains the best talent. Working closely with Recruiters, HR professionals and Managers alike you will be responsible for encouraging best practices, influencing key stakeholders and being the businesses expert for Visa Sponsorship.You’ll work closely with the Relocation Specialist to support you with these activities including assisting with day to day delivery of Visa applications, associated paperwork, right to work checks and communication with candidates/employees.About the Role● You will be responsible for monitoring the overall company usage of the Sponsorship route for Recruitment
● Acting as a Partner to the business to provide specialist and expert advice on everything related to immigration, visa’s and sponsorship.
● Work closely with the Compliance Partner to ensure regular audits are carried out, actions plans are defined and executed.
● Take ownership for ensuring any required communication with the Home Office is done in a professional and timely manner.● Provide day to day support with case work relating to IRL applications, providing advice and support in what documentation is required and help to submit in a timely manner.
● Analyse and deliver on Visa extensions in a timely manner to provide existing employees with the best possible service
● Data tracking will form a key part of the responsibilities of this role, meaning you will be able to clearly describe patterns in Sponsorship and migrant movement
● Keep the Sponsorship Management System (SMS) up to date with all documents, employee status and changes in start dates.
● Maintain a system of collating all required documentation and information from migrants to successfully upload their application correctly, first time.
● Understanding how the Sponsorship process impacts Recruitment SLAs, you will provide the Recruitment Manager with solutions on how to reduce time to hire and create a smoother on-boarding process for our candidates.
● Provide support to employees and candidates throughout the Visa Process from the new hire stage right through to IRL.
● Communicate delays and impacts to hiring managers of unforeseen Visa delays.
● Articulate to stakeholders how global events may be impacting the speed in which Visas are being processed by the UKVI.
● You will have access to our 3rd party Immigration Specialists as a route of escalations of more complex matters.
● You’ll be responsible for making payments via the SMS system, tracking and reallocating these payments to the correct business areas.About you● Visa Sponsorship knowledge, specifically in the Skilled Worker category, Student Visas and short term Business Visas
● OISC Registered would be an advantage but isn’t essential
● Experience of using the Sponsorship Management System.
● Understanding of both in-country and out of country Visa applications
● Experience of setting up new processes, not only articulating them in a clear and concise manner but also documenting them
● Training others on the Visa process
● Data reporting on the usage and cost of Sponsorship for the whole Next Group, as well as review opportunities for cost savings
● Influencing and persuasion skills when talking to senior stakeholders about the Visa process and best practices, particularly when describing what is and is not possible.
● Working at pace to successfully deliver on Recruitment milestones
● Sound attention to detail will allow you to pick up on any errors in documentation.
