Job description

Trinity are hiring a Fire Damper Engineer to install and maintain fire dampers and associated systems. You will be supported by our Service and wider support departments to provide first rate servicing to the systems used by our clients. You’ll be working as part of a skilled teams of Engineers and Senior Engineers to build on the company’s reputation in quality and customer service.You will be working on mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems. Trinity are committed to the training of our engineers and will provide further training to empower you to work across our range of associated systems.Key ResponsibilitiesTo install and service fire dampers in timely, efficient and cost effective manner in line with the Company’s quality standards.

  • Help to assemble and position dampers within ducts or pipelines, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
  • Assist in the connection of control systems and actuators to ensure the effective operation of dampers.
  • Conduct basic inspections and routine maintenance of dampers, identifying any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
  • Assist in supporting the repair and replacement of faulty or worn-out dampers as needed.
  • Perform tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting dampers to maintain optimal performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues with dampers, control systems, and associated components.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and project reports.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC principles, and construction practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant vocational training is a plus.
