An exciting opportunity has opened up to work within IT Infrastructure and Service Delivery (IISD) supporting a broad number of activities at the heart of Nationwide’s technology estate. Working day-to-day with the Director of IISD, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and delivering activities that support the Director in delivering their objectives and the objectives of IT Infrastructure and Service Delivery.You will be responsible for working with the IISD Leadership team and other Senior Stakeholders across the Society to co-ordinate and drive forward activities such as leading a number of small projects and initiatives on behalf of the Director. You will lead a small Business Management team who support the objectives of IT Infrastructure, overseeing our Partner Management and Audit team.We are seeking someone who demonstrates a desire to make a difference, who can manage a broad range of activities and deliver outcomes in a complex fast-paced and dynamic environment. You can also find out more about our approach to .If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.What you’ll be doingSupporting delivery of the IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery (IISD) objectives, reviewing and contributing to key deliverables, driving our people agenda and helping IISD achieve its strategic outcomes and ambitions.Working across the IISD leadership team, ensuring that the outcomes and objectives of the department are being prioritised and progressed in line with the Society Plan.Owning and coordinating the execution of initiatives or commitments of the Director of IISD, including oversight of key actions and governance activities across the department and widespread engagement across our central communities (People, Audit, Internal Communications, Risk, Finance & Efficiency etc).Supporting liaison with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g. colleagues, consultancies, regulators etc.) and acting as the voice of the IISD on key matters.Orchestrate correspondence on a wide variety of topics, including material of a confidential nature.Managing selected internal and external meetings and events and ensure that the Director of IISD is adequately prepared for all meetings and events.Your experience will ensure you quickly develop knowledge of the many elements of IISD and wider technology, risk and controls communities.There will be a requirement to travel to different partner and Nationwide sites on an adhoc basisAbout youWe’re looking for someone who can make a difference, bringing great organisational and people skills, with the ability to deal confidently with people at all levels in the Society, in a variety of situations, and be proactive in suggesting solutions. - Effective, versatile and action oriented, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage both routine and ad hoc workloads
- Experience or a working knowledge of key IT Infrastructure deliverables and how they fit into the overall Society Plan
- Experience of liaising with various external stakeholders including regulators, consultancies, advisers and delivery partners
- Experience of team leadership and line management
- Ability to create, own and drive our People Strategy and align with key stakeholders across the business including COO People leads, Early Careers team and People Function.
