Our team of 800 employees counts over 50 nationalities and is spread across our 5 global offices, 30% working fully remotely.Your missionWe are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join us on the development of BlaBlaCar Daily on the Features squad known as DFE. You will work on technical challenges and product feature developments from the early conception meetings, development and test strategy, to deployment in production, observability, and support.Your responsibilitiesAs a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll join a team of 8 Software Engineers working for our Features squad. Their goal is to deliver new user facing features to improve user experience and increase carpooling usage.Your main responsibilities would be to:

• Participate in the entire application development lifecycle: This includes early-stage product meetings, architecture design, development, test strategies, deployment to production, monitoring, alerting, and support.

• Support and collaborate with fellow engineers: Work together with other team members to develop our Android projects.

• Adapt existing features and lead technical projects: Address challenges related to scalability, code quality, and testability by adapting feature implementations or leading technical initiatives.

• Be a technical reference for Android development best practices: Promote clean architecture and effective pattern usage.

• Drive technical projects: Lead the team toward successful project delivery.

Your qualifications

• Strong experience in Android reactive development: Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flows, RxJava (being replaced), Jetpack Compose

• Experience with Clean Architecture & Modularization

• Experience with Design System

• Testing mindset (JUnit, Mockk, instrumented tests)

• Ability to take leadership & ownership, aligned with business priorities

• Full working proficiency in English
