- Preparation and distribution of management reports (comparing actuals vs budget)
- Derive and post month-end accounting journals
- Completion of financial reports on a regular basis and providing analytical information to the business
- Preparation of month-end balance sheet reconciliations
- Entering financial information into ONYX software
- Conduct annual asset counts
- Assistance with annual budget reporting
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Point of contact and resolution of 3-way match issues between SSC and local Procurement
- Project Accounting and continuous improvement
- Preparation and submission of monthly Minimum Control reports
- Preparation and submission of Smiths Treasury MCDR report
- Management of AR function including collection, cash receipting/payments, resolution of invoicing inquiries and disputes, issue statements and dunning letters, credit hold process, maintain customer master data and submission of invoices in customer platforms
- Managing day-to-day transactions
- Management of VoIP system including inbound calls
The IndividualSkills and Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for actions to always ensure client satisfaction.
- Personal behaviours that demonstrate adaptability, initiative, integrity, and cross cultural and commercial awareness.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of accounting practices
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability
