Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a world class candidate for an exciting role as a Partner Sales Manager within our UK Public Sector Partner team. This role will support the overall success of our key Services partners within the UK Public Sector, driving joint GTM (Go To Market) and Sell-With success for a portfolio of Amazon’s Scale and Born in the Cloud partners. This position is a fast-paced, rich opportunity for someone to take their experience to the next level. As a Partner Sales Manager you will hold a holistic view of the business generated by your partners and will work with the AWS partner team and AWS Public Sector Sales organization to enhance and grow partner-related AWS revenue.You will become a trusted point of contact for a portfolio of Scale and Born in the Cloud Services Partners through demonstrations of a deep understanding for their business issues and concerns, displaying competence in various business management disciplines and helping your partners build a successful and sustainable business delivering end customer solutions to Public Sector that incorporate the AWS cloud platform and services.You will drive towards end-customer value that results in business growth to both the partner and AWS by being partner-centric in all activities, serving as a leader and advocate for partners within AWS, and accurately representing AWS within the partner’s organization.This role is unique from other roles in AWS in its overall focus on establishing and maintaining the sell-with execution plan with a set of Partners, and helping ensure that joint business growth metrics are set, met or exceeded.Key job responsibilities

  • Work with assigned Public Sector Scale & Born in the Cloud Services partners to define and execute joint sales and Go to Market (GTM) plans.
  • Create strategic partner development plans, helping partners build AWS services and solutions that directly impacts Public Sector customers and increases AWS revenue.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams internally and externally to identify, manage and close Public Sector pipeline.
  • Collaborate across AWS to provide support at the right time for assigned partners.
  • Build regular cadence with key stakeholders within partners.
  • Provide regular business updates to stakeholders within AWS and assigned partners regarding progress, initiatives, opportunities and areas of focus.

  • Degree or equivalent military/professional level experience
  • Experience of working with the UK Public Sector verticals.
  • Significant experience in partner management, sales or business development in the IT industry.
  • Experience developing and executing ambitious GoTo Market plans through partners/channels.
  • Operating skills (forecasting, pipeline management, account planning, business cadence).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Detailed understanding of UK Public Sector Frameworks.
  • Successful track record of influencing innovation and business growth through partner ecosystems.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Someone who enjoys building and working across different stakeholder communities.
  • A team player who helps those in the team.
  • A passion for and interest in technology and how it can deliver solutions to real world problems.
  • An understand of and experience of working with Cloud Computing.
