Position: TMS Consultant
Location: GTA (3 days/week in the office)

Compensation: Competitive base salary, pension, bonus, 100% paid benefits and more!Our client, a leading retailer, is seeking a Techno-Functional Transportation Management System (TMS) Consultant to lead, manage, and oversee the technical direction and advancement of their Transportation IT capabilities. This role will support the inbound (imports), middle mile, outbound, and last mile delivery operations. This position requires deep knowledge of applications and integrations that support business operations across the entire distribution network and host systems.In this role, you will:– Develop expertise in Transportation systems, with a focus on traffic, routing, and carriers.
– Lead and manage the technical direction of Transportation IT capabilities (TMS).
– Build expertise in Transportation systems, focusing on traffic, routing, and carriers, and oversee applications and integrations supporting the distribution network.
– Oversee implementation and execution of Transportation system transformation strategies, working with IT and business teams.
– Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to developers and IT staff, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
– Act as a technical subject matter expert for logistics systems, solving complex technical problems and overseeing documentation.
– Collaborate with stakeholders to drive the utilization of technology solutions and ensure business requirements are met.
– Ensure testing, security, and knowledge transfer processes are in place to maintain and support systems.Key requirements:– 5-10+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
– Extensive experience with Transportation Management Systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Descartes, Manhattan, Blue Yonder) and carrier integrations.
– Strong knowledge of transportation compliance rules in Marketplace, Wholesale, and Retail sectors.
– Proficient in omni-channel systems integrations, e-commerce, and retail trends.
– Skilled in problem-solving, testing, and evaluating solution effectiveness.
– Up-to-date on best practices and emerging technologies in Logistics and Transportation.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.Interested?
