- Provide advisory services on some of the world’s largest and most complex infrastructure and real estate projects, offering vision and solutions for current and emerging challenges.
- Offer end-to-end services for investors, government agencies, developers, and operators in both public and private sectors, optimizing returns and outcomes throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Work with strategic and financial investors on infrastructure transactions, support all levels of the Canadian public sector in infrastructure delivery, and assist international governments with infrastructure delivery and capacity building.
- Lead brainstorming sessions to identify innovative solutions for client challenges and develop financial models to estimate project costs, value businesses and assets, and determine transaction structures.
- Draft information memoranda, business plans, and presentation materials for clients, and conduct financial analysis of infrastructure businesses and assets as part of due diligence.
- Conduct market research for comparable transactions, develop funding analyses, and provide project management services for large infrastructure initiatives.
- Lead the preparation of proposals and marketing materials for business development, and advise on bid strategy, deal execution, and review of key project agreements.
- Evaluate financial statements, assess financing alternatives, evaluate deal synergies, and ensure the adequacy of working capital facilities.
- Work spans various asset classes, including Social Infrastructure (Education, Healthcare, Government Facilities, etc.), Transportation (Roads, Airports, Rail, etc.), Environmental (Water, Wastewater, Solid Waste, etc.), Power and Utilities, Energy, Midstream Infrastructure, Telecom Infrastructure, and Real Estate.
About the teamInvesting in infrastructure and real estate assets or other large capital projects, like delivering a new railway, developing a mine, or acquiring a stake in a pipeline, is a complex challenge and major investment. Optimizing the return, as well as the outcomes, throughout the life cycle of an asset takes a highly skilled and experienced team of specialists.Our Infrastructure and Real Estate team offers an end-to-end service for investors, developers, and operators in both the public and private sectors throughout the entire lifespan of an asset. Through years of experience working on some of the world’s largest and most complex projects and transactions, our global network combines preeminent best practices with market-leading expertise, resulting in an in-depth knowledge of local markets and the range of infrastructure asset types.Enough about us, let’s talk about youYou are a someone with:
- Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentials (e.g., commerce, engineering, architecture, finance, mathematics, accounting and business administration);
- 2-5 (Senior Associate) and 5+ (Manager) years of business experience in Infrastructure, Finance, or Consulting;
- Excellent visual, written, and oral communication skills particularly using Microsoft tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, etc.) – English proficiency; French is considered an asset;
- Excellent Excel modelling skills; with excel VBA programming skills being an advantage;
- Highly motivated with strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Previous experience in the following areas is considered an asset:
- Roads, transportation, energy infrastructure, or real estate consulting.
- Public-private partnerships (P3) or innovative procurement models for public infrastructure delivery.
- Investment banking or transaction advisory services.
- Conducting jurisdictional scans, stakeholder consultations, market soundings, and developing strategic plans for the public or private sectors.
- Relevant valuations, financing, consulting, and financial modeling experience.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure M&A processes, including due diligence and valuation.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Experience in conducting feasibility studies, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Knowledge of infrastructure financing structures and funding mechanisms.
Due to the nature of the role requiring interactions with national and global clients, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position in Montreal.Total RewardsThe salary range for this position is $58,000 – $106,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
