Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Records SAA Position Summary:
This position serves as a Senior Administrative Assistant to the Records Department for Winfield Correctional Facility. The work involves resident records management and data entry. This position will also serve as the backup for the Administrative Specialist in their absence.
Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Compute resident payroll
- Ensure data entry for all resident job assignments, level/restriction changes, and update Job Skill database
- Maintain updated electronic transfer list and process transfers
- Complete OMIS entries as needed
- Maintain resident files and complete imagining of master records
- Clerical duties for the Classification and Records department
- Serve as back-up for the Security SAA and Records AS
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience in general office, clerical, and administrative support work.
Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
- Free from felony convictions and substantiated PREA claims
Preferred Qualifications: (May be used to screen applicants)
- Two (2) years of professional experience in an office performing administrative support work.
- Successful experience in an office handling confidential information
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills, to include at least one (1) year of professional experience with Microsoft Office Systems
- Proficient in use of office equipment including, but not limited to copier, scanner, fax machine, imaging machine, and/or postage meter/scales, etc.
- Great attention to detail
- Valid Driver’s License
