Workshop Controller required in North Bristol.

  • Starting salary from £32,000 per annum, negotiable pending experience and current earnings (applicants on a higher wage are encouraged to apply!)
  • plus bonuses circa £8,000 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am – 2:00pm paid as overtime

Our client, a large multi-franchise approved car dealership in the North Bristol area, is currently looking to hire a Workshop Controller to join their busy Service Department.Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, as Workshop Controller you will primarily be responsible for overseeing and motivating a team of Vehicle Technicians of all levels, however, this is still growing, as our client looks to onboard more Vehicle Technicians and apprentices.Key responsibilities as a Workshop Controller will include:

  • Ensuring aftersales processes are carried out efficiently to meet aftersales KPIs.
  • Overseeing workshop loading and efficiency.
  • Proactively arranging workshop bookings.
  • Pricing of VHCs/additional work required and liaising with customers on this.
  • Ensure all work is carried out competently, and to manufacturer standards.
  • Lead and work as part of a team.
  • Check and code our client’s warranty work and liaise with the Warranty Administrator.
  • Provide training and development for team members.
  • Work closely with the Vehicle Technicians to meet the required efficiency standards.

The successful applicant will ideally live within the Bristol region or be within a reasonable commuting distance of there. You must have a proven track record as a Vehicle Technician within an automotive workshop environment. Experience at a supervisory/controller level would be preferred but is non-essential. Overall you will be effective in managing and supporting colleagues and have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and our client’s reputation. You will be IT literate and ideally have experience working with the Kerridge/Keyloop DMS system.What’s in it for you? For your hard work as a Workshop Controller, our client is offering:
