Description:Salary: £46,244 – £53,789 (pay review pending)Holiday: 35 days per annum (including public holidays)Hours: 37.5 hours / week (full-time)Shift pattern: 12 hour shifts – Day (07.30-20.00), Night (19.30-08.00)Sponsorship: Not applicable for this vacancyClosing date: 6 September 2024A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACNS/ANPThis exciting role within a forward thinking organisation supporting Palliative ACNS/ANPs to deliver high level clinical and psychological care for people and their families. There is wide scope to use innovative ways to meet the needs across the rural population of those needing specialist support including supporting advice and education to medical and nursing colleagues. We are looking for experienced nurses with a willingness to develop in their careers, while being given space to innovate and progress services in collaboration with colleagues.What you’ll be doing…Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:· As one of our ACNS/ANPs, you will be able to use your excellent clinical and communication skills to work as part of the Senior Nursing and Medical team, delivering care within our 12-bedded IPU, virtually to our community and to acute services.· You will provide practical, emotional and social support to patients with life limiting illness and their families/carers.· Along with the Practice Learning and Development Lead and Senior Nursing team, you will be actively involved it the delivery of education.· Working in collaboration, you will lead & develop relationships with the Hospice MDT.· Provide on call provision as part of the medical rota.WHAT WE NEED FROM YOUAt Highland Hospice we believe our people are our biggest assets and understand the value in putting them first.
