Job description
Position: K-12 Education CoordinatorReporting To: Education DirectorStatus: Part-time, indeterminantSalary Range: $26.00 – $30.00 per hourSummary of Position:To provide support to the Neskonlith Students attending school in the SD 83 Salmon Arm School District. In addition, will provide support to the Education Director.Responsibilities:Key Tasks
- Liaison with schools and indigenous representatives;
- Process and coordinate student profiles, reports & records;
- Attend relevant education meetings;
- Attend and Assist with Educational Fieldtrips as needed;
- Develop a scholarship and bursary resource;
- Administrative support relevant to the Neskonlith Education programs;
- Assist with other education administrative duties as required.
Skills:
- Good organizational skills;
- Office administration knowledge;
- Knowledge of Indigenous Education;
- Experience working in education field is preferred;
- Knowledge of INAC Education Policies.
Experience Required:
- 2 years minimum post-secondary education preferred;
- Knowledge of Education and office management;
- Program development, coordination and planning;
- Proposal writing and record keeping.
Personal Attributes:
- Acceptable and current RCMP Criminal Record Check (original);
- Have and maintain a valid BC driver’s license as a condition of employment and have access to a reliable vehicle;
- Travel as required;
- Demonstrated practice of confidentiality.
