They are industry leaders and well respected.This is a newly created tax role, based on forecasted workflow and growth.Working closely with the Corporate Tax Manager and Director of Finance, mentorship and learning are key in this entry level role to support, prepare and maintain corporate taxes in the US and Canada.Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepare monthly sales tax returns
- Reconcile all tax accounts monthly
- Maintain the sales tax system and ensure all exemption certificates are maintained and up to date
- Research and provide guidance internally and externally on sales tax queries
- Provide tax audit support for annual financial audit and government audits
- Complete new tax filing registrations and business licenses as required
- Assist with the preparation of:
- Quarterly tax provision
- Annual tax returns
- Transfer pricing documentation
- Respond to government queries for tax filings, registrations, audit requests, and other as required
- Develop written policies, procedures and control processes relating to tax
- Provide recommendations for improvement
About YouThe successful candidate will have the following:
- 2+ years’ related tax experience
- Basic understanding of indirect tax and Canadian corporate income tax
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills and willingness to work closely with the team and senior management
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to deal with large amounts of financial data
- Capacity to pick up and learn multiple different systems
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Designation or pursuing

- Base salary ideally in the $75,000 to $85,000 range
