Company: Guy CarpenterDescription:We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is early on in their broking career and looking for development opportunities to join our Cyber Team as a Reinsurance Broker. As an aspiring Reinsurance Broker, you will have the chance to gain valuable experience and grow your skills in the dynamic field of cyber insurance. You will work closely with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to negotiate and place reinsurance contracts that effectively mitigate cyber risks. To help ease the transition when you return to work you will be able to work 8 weeks at 80% of your normal work pattern and receive 100% of your normal salary.We will count on you to:Prepare and present reinsurance proposals to clients, highlighting the benefits and value of the proposed solutions.Monitor market trends and developments in the cyber insurance industry to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on emerging risks.Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on cyber risk management and reinsurance strategies.Collaborate with internal teams, such as claims and finance, to ensure smooth and efficient reinsurance operations.Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to cyber insurance and reinsurance.What you need to have:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, insurance, risk management, or finance.Data analysis and statistical skills using Excel, R, SQL or PythonAbility to create charts, tables and graphs to present data in an effective format.Proven experience as a Reinsurance Broker, preferably with a focus on cyber insurance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and evaluate cyber risks.Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and reinsurers.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills.Professional certifications such as CII or Actuarial Qualifications are a plus.What makes you stand out?In-depth knowledge of the cyber insurance market, including key players, products, and emerging trends.Confident in understanding risk models and how they can be leveraged to structure (re)insurance risk transfer solutions.Ability to identify market insights, trends and then use that knowledge to advise clients on their underwriting and portfolio management strategies.Strong understanding of (re)insurance companies financial and accounts.is a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist with more than 3,500 professionals in over 60 offices around the world.
